NEW PICS

The last few days in SoCal have been full of rain. I simple 3hr easy day turned into a race from Main st in Santa Monica to Latigo Cyn and up it. I hit them first as we got onto PCH. I was going about 30+ mph all all the way up to Pepperdine when the camera crew said he got a call from Mariano and said I would be disqualified if i dont start the climb with everyone else.

It was 500 to win 20 for second and 250 for the biggest heart guy.

I hung for half the climb before i got dropped. It was so cold up there.
There is a picture of Justin trying to put his gloves on because his hands had frozen up while trying to descend back to PCH.

LOL!  RB got dropped on the climb!

Reason why I chuckle is that I can totally relate to that experience.  You see, I'm a 190-195lb (race weight) sprinter/roadie.  I do pretty well for the first several climbs but it's the longer or repetitive climbs that finally wear me down and out.

Hang in there, my man.  As someone says "train your weaknesses and race your strengths" - I know you know this already.  Keep the pedals turning...

"It never rains in Southern California..." Toni, Tony, Tone was wrong, I guess...Well, if I waited for a dry day to ride up here in the Pacific Northwest, I'd probably only get 100 days of riding in...can you say rain jacket and overshoes???
