SuperWeek Day #9-10-11-12

Its been long nights and early mornings for me and the team, so writing these post has been a bit difficult to do because I'm really tired. But ill give you the low down on what has been going on.

The last you read was little "JJ" winning in a break of 3. The next day we raced in Green Bay where we blew every chance to get Kayle closer to the leaders jersey. After chasing for 20 minutes, I was forced to abandon do to stomach problems. Late in the race, I started to vomit and after vomiting the second time, I stopped.

The very next day we raced in a thunderstorm in Sheboygan where the field quickly split do to the speed and of course the weather. There was one point in the race where the rain was starting to hurt. After the storm blew threw, the group was setting for a field sprint where Kayle got 2nd place to Adam Bergman (colivita sutterhome)

Next was Kanosha, the very first place I raced Nationals in 1996. The race was really cool, the crowed was good, they had live music, jumpers for the kids and much more.
Again, we did all we could to get Kayle maximum points to get closer to the lead. I was surprised to have such good legs after so many days of racing.

A hand full of guys rolled off the front that included Kevin K (rock racing) and they lapped the field. In the end we gave Kayle a leadout to get points and Kevin finished 6th on the stage.

Downers Ave.
This is the race that everyone wants to do at super week. They call it the Greater Downers Ave Race. This race is known for big cash money premes and throughout the week there has been rumor that they would have a six thousand dollar preme and everyone and their mama would be going for it.

As the race got going, "we" drilled the pace for 2 laps putting a lot of pressure on the field and boom, kayle attacks after I sit up taking 4 guys with him and later little "JJ" jumped across giving us great numbers in the break. With 6 laps to go, they are giving us lap cards for the six thousand dollar preme, which really turned out to be four thousand. Staying in position for the preme was just like the last lap of a race and with 600m to go, Sterling pulls next to me and takes me to the motherland. I went through the corner 2nd and won the big money preme. Dave McCook was so upset and yelled at me. And instead of taking the corner he went straight off the course.

Kayle won the race with little JJ getting 6th and me winning the 4k preme...I would have to say we had a great day.
Now we are only 8 points from winning the overall with one stage remaining.
I feel good and excited that it comes down to one day. Kayle needs to win and I think he can do it.

You guys shocked the world and to me VeloNews totally glossed over the significance of your teams win. Luckily ROAD did you guys justice. This issue of ROAD should be the called the Rock Racing issue. There is a interview with you and coverage of MBC. Wurd! Keep it up.
