SuperWeek Day #5
It’s nice that the team is coming around. Yesterday again, I had nothing to do but follow wheels. After two restarts do to serious crashes, the race finally got underway without another hitch.
Shortly after the second restart, Sergio, Kayle (rock racing) and 4 other guys got away and the next thing I knew they are 40 seconds up the road. The only difference from today’s race and yesterdays race was that the group didn’t lap. Sergio started to attack the group later in the race while they are calling out 100-dollar premes. One lap after another the premes are coming. He got away with 3 laps to go after winning a preme, leaving his breakaway companions in the dust taking his first victory as a professional rider...and it was NRC. GO SERG!!!
The icing on the cake was Kayle waxing everyone else take 2nd place giving Rock Racing another 1-2 finish in a pro race.
The rest of the team all finished in the top 20 I think some where and that one impostor from the day before flatted out the break with 3 to go. Karma...
Okay today is a rest day for the team. We will race again Monday at a race they very hilly. I mean its called "Holy Hill".
