SuperWeek Day #1
Yesterday the team wanted to use the road race for just an opener. But after a few laps, I think everyone felt fine and raced a little more aggressive than we should had. Late in the race Sterling and Rudy ( rock racing) slipped away with a German pro rider, Brian Jensen (ex jelly belly) rider and a couple other guys and they stayed away to the end. In the group, I got the boys to line it up for a lead out to contest the field sprint, which we did a good job handling.
Sterling managed to get 3rd and Rudy 5th, while back in the field, Kayle and Sebastian took 6th and 7th respectably. Four guys in the top ten is good and now we can only get better.
My legs felt extremely good and I feel great about the future races.
ill be sure to take my camera today to give you guys something to look at.
oh yeah...today is a 110 mile road race with a flat finish. In the past I have had good rides so I'm looking forward to seeing my progress.
