WHAT A DAY

This is how it went down.

Thursday Morning
6am wake up
7:30am leave for Los Angeles international Airport for 9:30am flight to  Texas
9am flight delayed until 1pm
6pm flight arrives in Texas
7pm connecting flight to Fayetteville Arkansas
7pm I didn’t get on the flight because I was a stand by passenger.
1am (Friday morning) board a flight to Little Rock, Arkansas 203 miles away from Fayetteville.
3:30am arrive in Little Rock with cab voucher for 333 dollars.
3:45am no cab driver wants to drive 203 miles to Fayetteville at 3:30 in the morning
4am I finally get a guy to take me after he was convinced my voucher was real and not a fake.
6:45am arrive at the Holiday Inn express in Fayetteville with NO Bags( bags where lost in the shuffle
9:45am wake up to check on bags
10am find out bags are in Little Rock
10:05 back to sleep
12:45pm wake up call to see if I want to race.
1pm get some cycling clothes, spare helmet, the new mechanics socks, Kayle’s sunglasses and luckily I had my own cycling shoes.
2pm race starts
6:45 I finish the race 20 seconds or so off the mail field.

It was a very long day yesterday. Now I’m sitting in the hotel after dinner still waiting on my bags to be delivered. I’m in the same clothes I had on Thursday morning. I sure hope to get my stuff by tonight.

Tomorrow is a long day again. 8am start and a 2pm up hill stage race.

You could of just stayed home.Just messing with you. Possibly the worst thing in being a cyclist is air travel, the horror. If the bike is not being dissallowed its overcharged or lost in transit.Good job racing after all that mess. I've been there and it wasn't pretty.  Hope u get your stuff soon.Blessings.
