Oak Glen Stage update!!
So there was some controversy about the finish of oak glen stage. Apparently, the guys who finished about 24-29 minutes down were going to be allowed to race the crit the next day, however certain teams (which I will not name) protested because most important Ivan Dominguez was in that time cut and they didn’t want to see him win the green jersey nor win the crit.
After talking to Harm Jensen (Toyota United DS) it was also brought to my attention that the officials changed the time cut limit at the end of the stage. There was tons of confusion and misunderstanding in the oak glen stage…guys I passed on the climb finished in front of me, guys that didn’t even finish got a prorated times because their team manager made up some bull *** excuse to keep his riders in the race which worked.
All in all, its no ones fault but mine why I’m out the race. The race was hard, but I should have not gotten dropped where I got dropped. Its becoming really frustrating because I know what time and effort I put into my training this winter and how I busted my ass in the gym and right now nothing is proving any of that.
I feel like I’m decreasing instead of progressing.
I’ll go back home and get back to my old regiment that I had last season, which was hitting the track twice a week and the gym once with riding the road
