Oak Glen Stage
I'm usually not nervous for a road race what so ever. But I thought it was interesting that I was pretty nervous before that start today. The race started off pretty fast but was quickly slowed to a complete stop as we went pass a rail road crossing and at the exact time a train was coming and some of the peloton was caught behind the guard rails. After the race got going again my legs felt fine so I tried them out by following a few moves. On some of the climbs I surprised myself by how I road them. Most of the climbs, guys where riding them in there small rings, which I did try but I was much better in the big ring. So I continued every single climb in the big ring except the final climb up to Oak Glen where I lost 28minutes.
As I was writing this blog I saw the results....I was excited....I made it. Then I troll down and I see my name as being time cut. Game over, I missed it by 4 minutes.
